When you are a makeup artist, experimenting, expanding and developing new techniques is key. Having a wide range of skills in the makeup realm involves trying out new techniques and trends no matter how unflattering or difficult it might be. Personally my type of makeup skill usually leans towards simple, smokey and neutral as it's my style and the safest, but safe isn't always fun.
Even though I do come from a middle eastern background, my least favourite style makeup is middle eastern/asian. It is just a little too dramatic for me but I still do create it in different forms because I love trying new things.
In this youtube tutorial I combined two technqoues or 'looks' together for a very dramatic affect giving off an Arabisk look, but it's not totally arabic as there is no dramatic kohl eyeliner. It's just eyeshadow used to give a dramatic wing, cat eye affect while blowing out all the colours and making it as smokey as possible.
